April 11-12 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza

HBBB.jpgThe Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza is only three weeks away and it has begun sending the panic merchants into turbo mode as entry forms downloaded, leave passes are negotiated,  transport to Broadford, camping gear found as well as  reluctant motorcycles coaxed into life or frantically rebuilt and all this with the expectation that this event to stick out from the rest.

With such promises of diversity of the entries already confirmed with TZ/TDs in abundance, so many Japanese race and road bikes, Metisses in every configuration, an array of Trail- Enduro bikes, Vincents galore, supercharged Speedway, CCM’s, reeves,  every Mini model made, Sidecars, Trials Bikes, Hagon Sliders, Triton, Norbsa, Tribsa, Norvin, Rotaries, J.A.P combos plus rare Dirt Track bikes from all over the world.

If that wasn't enough there will also be rare race bikes from behind the Iron Curtain, Guzzis, Scotts, MVs, Indians and all the Italian beauties, all these bikes will be on show at the 2009 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza, don't forget the Road Race stars that will be in attendance including Barry Smith, Bruce Woodley, Ron Angel just to name a few,

It’s still not too late to be part of the fun, fill out the entry form and get it off now.

The Gala Dinner tickets are running out quickly, so be sure to secure your ticket for a night that promises a great deal of fun.

Marco Melandri will race for Hayate racing in 2009

melandri.jpgItalian MotoGP rider Marco Melandri will contest the 2009 season as a Hayate Racing rider in a one-rider, one year deal.

Marco Melandri did have a two-year contract with Kawasaki but it has been torn up and a new agreement hastily arranged in time for the beginning of the season, Melandri will now ride a Ninja ZX-RR with no further factory development.

Melandri had experienced two challenging seasons with Ducati and Honda.

The Italian is known to be brutally honest and vocal about any issues, great interest will be on how he reacts to a factory bike with which he does not expect to be pushing for the podium.
