Pedrosa quickest at Jerez Dani Pedrosa was the quickest racer in the current MotoGP Test at Jerez on Monday, heading the times on his bike after
a good day's work with his Repsol Honda squad. Continuing on from his second spot in Sunday’s Gran Premio
bwin de España, the Spaniard’s lap time of 1’39.425 from early in the day stayed sturdy to claim
him as the fastest after 60 laps through the whole day.
Still healing from a fall at 1.30pm, Valentino
Rossi arrived back to the circuit on his M1 to claim the second quickest lap of the Test, 0.055s from Pedrosa. The
Doctor also looked at solving issues with entries into corners that created a problem in Sunday’s event.
Lorenzo was not far off Rossi’s time (+0.026s) as he took to 71 laps, and LCR Honda racer Randy de
Puniet was among two-tenths of Pedrosa.
The top five also included Andrea Dovizioso, with the Italian
making good progress with a new swingarm.
Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden were no further on improving
the times set in the morning on their Desmosedici GP10's, eighth quickest in the Test was Ben Spies.
