Japanese competitor Shuhei Aoyama, a prior World Championship contendor and younger sibling of current 250cc rankings
champion Hiroshi Aoyama, underwent a short testing with the BQR squad on a Honda Moto2 motorbike at the Spanish circuit of
Albacete on Wednesday.
With the hope of preparing for the fourth CEV (Spanish National Championship) event of the
season, which will occur on the same track on 27th September, Aoyama applied himself to work at 11am, however could only lap
40 times because of the wet-drying asphalt.
“I want to thank BQR for giving me this chance,” Aoyama
states. “I rode a Moto2 bike at Brno for the first time recently and this time it was more like a real test. We finished
early because of the rain and a technical problem but it wasn’t bad for the first proper test.”
Later
it was announced that Aoyama will race for BQR in the final four CEV events this season on the Moto2 bike, commencing with
the Albacete round.
There were many other competitors in the testing, amongst them Spanish 125cc and Extreme competitors,
plus two extra Moto2 racers - Aleix Espargaró (Yamaha Spain) and Daniel Rivas (BQR Honda Moto2).
