| Melbourne hosted the International motorcycle conference |
The main body that represents the Australian automotive industry, known as the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries
(FCAI), has just recently hosted the International Motorcycle Manufacturers’ Association (IMMA) General Assembly in
Melbourne, Australia.
The International Motorcycle Manufacturers’ Association is the trade
association which represents the motorcycle industry at a worldwide point of view with its “core business” being
the progress and development of international regulations and standards that affect the construction and use of motorcycles.
It is the first time that Australia has been given the chance to host the IMMA General Assembly
and now will mean that the local industry has been given the opportunity to be involved in emerging international policy directions.
FCAI Chief Executive Andrew McKellar had this to say “This conference reinforces Australia is part of the global motorcycle
industry and can gain valuable insights into the latest international trends and policy development. Motorcycle brands, riders
and Australian governments will all benefit from the FCAI’s involvement in this international conference.”
