Marco Melandri was feeling content the morning before the eighth race of the season, but as he was having a warm up session, a crash changed his confidence in preparations.

The Italian rider eventually came home tenth, if not for the unfortunate mishap in the morning he may have been able to gain more points on the 11th on the grid.

Melandri commented on his ideas for the upcoming visit to Sachsenring, “It’s a strange track because it’s very, very tight and you stay on the left side a lot. We’ll have to see about the weather too because sometimes it can be very unpredictable.”
